The classic tale of anti-socialism. I had never read this book until now, although it had long been on my "wannaread" list. The plot is simply that the animals on a farm overthrow their drunken master and take the farm over for themselves. Over time, the pigs and dogs rise to supremecy and end up treating the rest of the animals worse than the humans. I suggest you read this with a Cliff Notes or go to The George Orwell Site for a discussion of the symbolism within. Such side-reading will reveal the story the way it was meant to be.
